We have finally purchased our own little slice of desert heaven, naming it Havik House as havik means 'two' in the language of the Mojave Indians; this place feels very much like a home away from home. We are located in a more remote part of Joshua Tree so you will have the experience of silence, isolation, and total relaxation. We're a 20 min drive into town & the JTNP visitors center. The West Entrance of the park is 10 mins further.
The space
Two bedrooms with queen beds, extra queen blow up mattress, and port-a-cot (packnplay) for infants if needed. Nice outdoor patio area with outdoor shower, and lots of wilderness and peace. Fully stocked kitchen, WIFI and TV with Netflix. Very little light pollution for nighttime stargazing.
*During Spring and Fall you can drive 9 minutes to the Joshua Tree Lake Campground and enjoy the Joshua Tree Music Festival - its super family friendly.
*Located in nearby Pioneer town, Pappy and Harriets is a music venue, a perfect 'insta-worthy photo location', has great cocktails (I recommend the cactus flower) and the BBQ is mouth watering (excellent vegetarian and pescatarian options also available).
*With write ups in The New York Times and Vogue, you can't NOT visit La Copine
